Economics 101 is an introduction to the concerns and methods of economics, covering both microeconomic and macroeconomic principles. This course analyses how markets work and how economic decisions are made. It considers the interactions of firms and households in individual markets as well as the workings of national and international economies. The course will introduce principles of economic analysis as a means to study economic behavior and determine the appropriate course of government policy.
We will have three exams and a number of assignments.
Exam I Wednesday Jan 28, 4th week, in class
Exam II Monday Feb 23, 8th week, in class
Exam III Wednesday March 18, 1 pm, during the scheduled final exam period
